Terms
Last updated October 10, 2026
The short version
- Dead to Vic is for adults (18 and over) only.
- Vic is a fictional comedy character run by AI. He roasts people. Don’t play if you’ll take it personally.
- Hosting a show uses one game. Players who join a show play free.
- Games never expire. If a show crashes before it gets going, you get the game back.
- If we ever shut the game down, we refund the games you haven’t used.
- We save show transcripts to improve the game and train AI. See the privacy policy.
Who we are
Dead to Vic is a live party game run by an independent developer in Idaho, United States. “We” and “us” mean the people running the game. Contact: [email protected]. By playing or buying games you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.
Adults only
You must be 18 or older to play or buy games. The game contains adult humor, insults and innuendo.
Vic is a character
Vic’s lines are written by AI in real time and are meant as comedy. They can be rude, wrong, unfair or offensive, and they are not our views or statements of fact about anyone. We try to keep him from going too far, but we can’t review what he says before he says it.
Playing fair
- Only upload a mugshot of yourself, or of someone who has agreed to it.
- Don’t post anything illegal, hateful or threatening, or anyone’s private information.
- Don’t try to break, overload or misuse the game or the AI behind it.
We may end a show or block someone who breaks these rules. Games used in a show we end for that reason aren’t refunded. The host can also remove a player from their show.
What you write
Your answers, catchphrases and other things you type stay yours. By playing, you let us store them, use them to run and improve the game, and use them to train AI models, without paying you, as described in our privacy policy. You can ask us to stop using yours at any time by emailing [email protected].
Buying games
- A game lets you host one show for your friends. It starts counting when you press Start; opening a lobby is free.
- Prices are in US dollars and shown before you pay. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card.
- Games are a right to host shows, not money. They have no cash value, can’t be exchanged for cash, and can’t be resold or transferred except as we allow.
- Games never expire while the game is running.
- Your games are kept with the phone or browser you bought them on. If you clear its data or switch phones, email us with your receipt and we’ll move them for you.
Refunds
All sales are final, except:
- If a show crashes during its opening, the game it used comes back to you automatically.
- If a show goes wrong in another way because of a problem on our side, email us within 14 days and we’ll return the game or refund it.
- If we ever shut Dead to Vic down for good, we’ll refund the games you haven’t used, at the price you paid per game.
The game will change
We keep working on Dead to Vic: rounds, Vic’s voice and personality, the AI services behind him and prices for new purchases may change over time. Games you’ve already bought keep working for whatever the game offers at the time you use them.
No guarantees
The game is provided as it is. It runs on the internet and AI services we don’t control, so it may sometimes be slow, unavailable or make mistakes. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, United States, except where the law of your home state gives you rights that can’t be waived.
Changes
If we change these terms, we’ll update the date at the top. Changes apply from then on, never to purchases already made.
